How to choose the right species?
There is a large
variety of plants, especially legumes that can be used as green manure crops.
It is important that appropriate species are chosen. Most importantly they
should be adapted to the local growing conditions, especially rainfall and
soil, fit into the crop rotation and not pose a risk of transmitting diseases
and pests to other crops.
